WATER CHESTNUT FARM AT WANG YANG | SUPANBURI

Description

Experience farm tours and cooking activities at Wang Yang farm. Fun with learning and planting water chestnuts.

Itinerary Trip

Full day

  • 08:30 – 09:00 AM:   Gather at Sappasthet Temple, pay respects to the Buddha and ask for blessings, Make funnels (beautiful) flowers, and feed fish along the dam.
  • 09:00 – 09:10 AM:   Travel by E-tan car to build a water chestnut cultivation base.
  • 09:10 – 09:50 AM:   Water chestnut cultivation base activities. Learn to demonstrate the process of selecting water chestnut heads, arranging them in rows, covering and watering, then preparing for planting in the field.
  • 09:50 – 10:30 AM:   Walk to the water chestnut farming demonstration plot base. Tourists will participate in planting water chestnuts using socks and gloves (reusable), rope to stretch and planting them in the field.
  • 10:30 – 11:10 AM:   Plant water chestnuts in the rice fields at the farmer’s house.
  • 11:10 – 11:25 AM:   Return to the community by E-tan car.
  • 11:25 – 11:45 AM:   Listen to the elders tell stories about how to peel water chestnuts with the elders in the community..
  • 11:45 AM – 12:45 PM: Take a car to Tubtim Krop’s house and participate in a workshop
  • on making Tubtim Krop.
  • 12:45 – 01:45 PM:   Lunch.
  • 01:45 – 02:15 PM:   Activity of folding coins and scattering alms from water chestnut trees.
  • 02:15 PM:     Shop for community souvenirs such as water chestnut crisps, crispy coconut rolls, and raw water chestnuts.
